In the Darkroom
I took this shot in Capitol Hill, Seattle, late on a Sunday night. I liked the perspective, the angles, and the lighting. While shooting it, I was oblivious to that harsh street light and its likely effect on the photo. I was using the XF 27mm 2.8 "pancake" lens for my Fujifilm XT-2. I didn't give much thought to the settings : 1600 ISO, f2.8, 1/20 second, Normal (not RAW).
I opened it in Lightroom, hoping to soften that glaring light. Scaling back the highlights didn't work. I played around with several other settings, but nothing helped. I thought I'd post it here in a new category, seeing if anyone has suggestions for what I could have done differently in Lightroom or during the initial shooting/composition to improve the image.
