Remembering the Victims of the Pulse Attack
On 12 June 2017, people gathered in Seattle's Cal Anderson Park to remember the victims of the attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, on 12 June 2016. It was a powerful, moving tribute to the 49 people killed and the 53 injured. Several people spoke about the tragic incident, sharing personal stories and discussing the importance of taking steps to ensure it doesn't happen again. Behind them, 49 volunteers held photos of the people killed in the attack. This is Wikipedia's description of the attack:
On June 12, 2016, the club gained international attention as it was the scene of the deadliest mass shooting by a single gunman in U.S. history, and the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil since the events of September 11, 2001. Forty-nine people were killed and 53 were injured. There are plans to convert the premises into a memorial dedicated to the victims.
