My Terrible Photos

I got my Fujifilm X100T a few months before I left DC in March 2016. I drove from DC to Phoenix with a stop in Taos to see friends. I took some really awful photos along the way, like this one. It's an orange auto repair shop.

Somewhere just east of Kansas City, I think. April 2016 or so. Fujifilm X100T.

The building is cool, and I'm sure it's a great auto repair business. The photo, though, is lousy. I think it's just east of Kansas City. I think I pulled off for gas and coffee before driving through the big city. I was probably thinking that the colors would look good with the setting sun. I can't remember if the building was this orange or whether it's amplified a bit with a Velvia film setting.

I do think auto repair shops and mechanics are great subjects, though. I've always envied people who can work with machines. And then I immediately regret not helping my dad and my grandfather work on the family cars in our garage. I was always far more interested in beating my last high score on Atari's Asteroids. Kids, if you're reading this, put down the games and phones occasionally.
