Onslaught

Onslaught

The Seattle / Western Washington area got pounded by an intense storm on 4 May 2017. According to the Seattle Times (citing the National Weather Service), the region had “about 2,500 lightning strikes hit the ground from Lewis County to the Canadian border.”
I missed most of the fireworks, but I was able to grab a couple of quick photos as the storm was rolling in. Also, here are links to the Instagram accounts of two Seattle area photographers who got some great shots of the weather. In the first link, @jenamacmac captured a lightning strike (very safely, I’m sure). In the second link, @dannyngan got a panoramic shot of the storm moving in.
