Halloween on Capitol Hill

Halloween on Capitol Hill

I love Halloween even though I rarely dress up for it. I can’t remember the last costume I wore. It was probably a lame, last minute attempt at something ill-defined. Seattle goes all in for Halloween, and it has been a lot of fun taking photographs of the festivities on Capitol Hill.
I’ll admit, though, I’m glad it’s November. Halloween is getting some of the Christmas Treatment. It’s now a month-long event, and the imagery bombardment starts happening on social media and in the stores on 1 October or earlier. I recognize that posting this is mildly hypocritical, but I am limiting the images to the actual “Halloweekend”, so there’s that.

Warning – I have included a lot of photos. They’re not full resolution, but they may still slow down your connection. (Thanks to Seattle photojournalist Alex Garland for letting me tag along for part of the evening on Saturday. You can check out his work at the Capitol Hill Seattle blog.)
