Seattle Pride
It’s Pride Month, and Seattle is enthusiastically taking part in the celebrations. I live on Capitol Hill, where support for the LGBT community is always proudly displayed. But residents and businesses have kicked that already visible support into overdrive; there are LGBT flags everywhere, in restaurants, apartments, houses, and in shop windows.
On 10 and 11 June the Pride activities got into the full swing of things with a festival in Volunteer Park and several marches and rallies. I’ve added some photos from the festival and from the Seattle Pridefest march to a gallery below. It was a lot of fun to be out there taking photos of a bunch of awesome people marching for a great cause. (Note: I’ve lowered the image quality a bit in an effort to save space. If you’re in a photo and want a full resolution JPEG, please just send me a note at sbhopper8 at gmail dot com.)
