June's Twilight

Great evening for wandering around Capitol Hill. Loads of people were out, doing summer evening sort of things. Bumped into a friend who was working a second job. People in the food and drink industry work hard. Kept wandering around.

Everywhere you looked, people were hanging out over food, grabbing drinks outside, sitting in the park at Cal Anderson, lining up for ice cream at Molly Moon’s or Frankie and Jo’s, or doing the seemingly impossible with skateboards.

The physics of skateboarding throws me for a loop. Have never really understood how they’re able to do what they do. I’ve ridden a skateboard, but it was a long time ago, and I essentially just propelled it in a forward direction.
