On the Streets: Joe Bar
Joe Bar is still my favorite coffee shop on Capitol Hill, but I haven’t been in there for a while. Trying to cut costs and also explore Capitol Hill’s other great options. Went in this morning, though, and it was nice to see some familiar faces.
The best part was meeting a cool dog. I asked the dog’s owner if he (the dog) was a German Shepherd. He said that they weren’t entirely sure. They found him as a pup, abandoned on the side of the road. They figure he’s mainly German Shepherd but with something else added in. The dog is 7 now, and as happy and nice as can be. (I know that a lot of people these days have switched to saying a dog’s human vs. owner. I like the sentiment, but I’m not quite there yet.)
If you’re a photographer, have a look at the series of doggo pics. Compare the above pic with the other two. Initially I forgot that I had my White Balance cranked to cooler temps (or on my X100T – upper left). Spot the differences? I thought it worked ok, and I’ve liked working more with that setting, but I need to create a custom function to quickly return the White Balance to Auto / Default. I’m sure it’s fairly easy.
