A few more from Jerome

A few more from Jerome

Last December I visited my family in Phoenix for the holidays. I went to Jerome for a few days. I took a few photos with my Hasselblad 500cm, and I finally finished the roll. I’ll add the photos below.

I still get a little confused working with digital copies of film photography. With digital photography, we often talk about JPGs vs RAW, and how much data or information is contained in each file type. RAW images contain the most data, but with today’s cameras, JPG Fine does pretty well, too. I often find that I prefer the straight out of the camera Fujifilm JPGs to my edits on RAW photos.

I digress. I’m happy with the scans I got back from the lab, but I’m surprised how little latitude there is for working with the image in Lightroom. After I pick up my negatives from the lab I’m going to try scanning them on my Epson V800 to see if I can get more resolution out of them.
