Maps

Squarespace offers some analytical tools for seeing who’s visiting your page and for growing your audience. I’m not looking to grow an audience. I’m not sure where I’m headed with documentary photography, but I like having the site as a supporting component of that. And also, it’s a fun place to write and engage with a few of the other dinosaurs who have or read blog pages.

One of my favorite parts of the analytical tools is the map. You can hover over a world map and see where the people who landed on this site are from. Or where the URL they’re using is located when they land here. That’s about as much identifying information I see – the URL. And since I’m a tech dummy, that’s useless to me. One caveat – I’m pretty sure I’ve identified my parents’ URL. They’re the only Phoenix URL that pops up.

This screenshot won’t be interactive, but you can see the map.
