Looks Pretty But It Isn't

The Pacific Northwest has been covered by a stifling blanket of toxic smoke from wildfires*. It has been so bad that wearing a mask seemed like the sensible thing to do. In the past I just assumed masks were for people with asthma or other respiratory challenges. I thought about getting one and might if the smoke returns after today’s welcomed respite.

Last night I was in Ballard to see two shows: Pebble n the Crick at Obec Brewing and Lizzie Weber at the Sunset Tavern. After Lizzie Weber’s show I stopped to take this shot. The moon looks pretty, but it was an ugly night. Thank goodness for the great music.
